Help Autism Center has spent nearly two decades standing with families across Colorado Springs and Southern Colorado who are affected by autism and other special needs. What started as a mission to raise awareness and reduce stigma has grown into a full network of advocacy, resources, and hands-on support.

Their work centers on five commitments: advocacy and inclusion, connecting families to the services and therapies they need, running the Help Autism Service Dogs program (trained service dogs provided at no cost to families), hosting community events where families can connect and belong, and collaborating with public and private organizations to coordinate better care across the region.

Looking ahead, Help Autism Center is working to open the Help Autism Center Ranch — a dedicated space offering housing options and expanded services for adults with autism and special needs, led in part by co-founder Gregg Whelen’s 25+ years of experience operating an assisted living facility for adults with special needs.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Help Autism Center relies on community partnerships, sponsorships, and donations to keep every one of these programs free or low-cost for the families who need them.
